Hot days are continuing after in September. I worked outside on weekdays. I am taking care of drinking water and taking salt candy regularly. When I was in a school, club coach instructed us not to drink water during doing sports. Now the coach makes students take water not to suffer from heat stroke disease. The times have changed.
■ Prepared speech session
A prepared speech is made based on the speech guide written by toast masters international. Speakers have to make a speech in line with purposes in the guide such as “logical speech” and “effective way of speech”. The guide gives us specific advices. Achieving the purposes step by step allows you to improve your speaking skill.

Japan faces education gap between the rich and the poor. In such situation he suggested the Public Relations Strategies for leaning club. (Fuchu Toast Masters club is a kind of Learning Club) M-san suggested 3 strategies 1) Delivering Flyer: Traditional advertisement tool which can be reach to lower class people. 2)Utilizing SNS: People can access information briefly on SNS 3) Feedback: Positive feedback motivates people to learn.

In Toast Masters club, an assigned evaluator gives feedback on speeches. S-san showed vital three tips to evaluate smoothly and informatively.1) Evaluation in line with a form 2) Making a script in advance 3) Focusing on listening to a speech. Every tip is very helpful to evaluate effectively
■Table Topics session
Table Topics is impromptu speech. A facilitator called Table Topics master for Table Topics gives a title of speeches and assigns a speaker. The speakers have to organize his/her idea and make a two-minute-speech on the spot. Quick response ability can be improved through the Table Topics speech.
Today’s Table Topics master was M-san who gave us topics in line with the early fall.

■Evaluation session
In the evaluation session, evaluators previously assigned describe good points and area for an improvement and encourage speakers to make more effective speeches. Evaluators have to listen to the speech carefully and are qualified the ability to analyze good points and area for an improvement quickly. Even if you are not evaluator, evaluator-like- listening is a good training to be a good speaker.
■Award session
The best speaker of each session, prepared speech, table topics and evaluation, is chosen by all participants voting and is awarded for his/her best speak. Congratulations!
