Our theme today was “The Season of Light.” Even though the days are shorter in early December, mornings like this remind us that every day begins with new light.During the meeting, our TMOD shared fun facts such as the “morning light boost,” the origin of the word “December,” and more. We truly enjoyed today’s meeting along with our two guests.
Prepared Speech SessionWe had two prepared speakers.First, TM T.K delivered a speech titled “About AONISHIKI.” Aonishiki is a well-known sumo wrestler from Ukraine. He came to Japan when he was 17 years old and eventually became a Sekiwake. We enjoyed learning about Aonishiki’s background through the speech.Second, TM Suzuki presented a speech titled “Annual Gathering of Hikari Kaihon.” The speaker had previously worked on a CD-related project at Hikari Kaihon, and after retiring, he has been enjoying reconnecting with his former colleagues.
Table Topics SessionToday’s Table Topics Master was TM H.S. The theme was “Reflecting on This Year,” with questions such as:
- What was the best food you ate this year?
- What was the farthest place you visited this year?
- What was your most nervous experience this year?
We enjoyed hearing each participant’s reflections.
Evaluation SessionToday’s General Evaluator was TM Y.N., who led the session smoothly.The first evaluator, TM H.M., evaluated the first speech. He highlighted the speaker’s passion and suggested improvements such as making the structure clearer and more organized.The second evaluator, TM T.M., evaluated the second speech while sharing some of his own experiences. We enjoyed both evaluations.
Award SessionWe held votes to select the best speakers in the Prepared Speech, Table Topics, and Evaluation sessions. We celebrated all the winners at the end of the meeting.
